Lufthansa Aviation Training (LAT) ranks among the global leaders in the field of flight training and employs a staff of around 700 at ten training locations in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and the USA. LAT’s training equipment includes flight simulators for all common types of aircraft for pilot training, emergency and service mock-ups for the basic and further training of flight attendants, as well as numerous training aircraft for pilot training.
Become a graphic designer (m/f/diverse) in the Flight Safety Manuals and Documentation team and contribute your graphic and media design skills as well as your creative ideas. Design the Lufthansa Group's Safety Cards and contribute to the further development of the Flight Safety Manuals.
Your tasks will include
- Designing visual content for flight safety manuals for all aircraft types in compliance with layout specifications and corporate design
- Carrying out image montages, color corrections and retouching to optimize visual materials
- Merging image and text data for print preparation in close coordination with the specialist departments
- Visual implementation of safety instructions for various media formats
- Creating typesetting layouts, pre-press supporting and coordinating up to print approval as well as communication and coordination with external print service providers
- Managing, archiving and maintaining created graphic materials
- Graphic support in the creation of learning media (digital and print)
Requirements
- You have a degree or training in graphic design, communication design or a comparable qualification (e.g. technical draughtsman)
- You have a strong understanding of design and are proficient in different visual styles - e.g. realistic 3D representations, classic 2D graphics or illustrative styles
You are confident in using common graphic design tools, especially Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) - You have experience in creating print-ready files (PDF/X standards, trimming, color profiles, etc.)
