Daimler Truck AG is one of the world's largest commercial vehicle manufacturers and is represented in all global markets. The product portfolio ranges from small distribution trucks to premium long-haul trucks and all types of buses to special vehicles such as the world-renowned Unimog. Driver assistance systems increase road safety and enhance driver comfort. To realize assistance systems, it is necessary to continuously and precisely capture or predict the vehicle environment and condition through sensors. Our team is responsible for integrating and processing environmental information from various sensors to provide an understanding of the surroundings. In close collaboration with the development teams for assistance functions such as Active Cruise Control (ACC) or Active Brake Assist (ABA), we develop innovative concepts for object and lane detection as well as for predicting vehicle trajectories. During your internship, you will have the opportunity to experience the entire development cycle of our assistance systems, from conception to practical implementation, and actively shape the future of autonomous driving with us.
