Responsibilities
Our Berlin based unit: Product Safety Services for EMEA ensures that sales & marketing of our chemical products comply with BASF requirements for France.
- Your expertise is on demand: As an SAP-Expert you release the Safety Data Sheets (SDS) of products sold in France, ensure compliance with national requirements and manage their distribution.
- Also, maintaining and managing master data of the Poison Center Notification (PCN) for agricultural products as well as notifying non dangerous product compositions on request, also belongs to your work.
- For all questions in the area of product safety for France you are the first contact person. Therefore, you monitor our mailbox and answer incoming phone calls.
- As part of the emergency response team, you support emergency response management.
- Furthermore, you must be prepared to cover for colleagues in the team when needed, just as the responsibilities within these positions may be adjusted due to change in legislation.
Qualifications
- degree in Chemistry or in a related field or several years of professional experience within the chemistry area as well as knowledge in the field of SDS and CLP regulation
- knowledge in MS Office and (SAP) databases
- Power BI and or Sales Force experience are a plus
- fluent communication skills in French and English
- distinctive communication skills, ability to work in a team as well as a strong customer-orientation
- strong analytical skills as well as a very good organizational ability and independent working methods
